Google Desktop available for Linux (i386)

Good news for linux users. But it’s only for i386 playform meaning I can’t get my ubuntu Amd64 install it. Hopefully they will release a 64 bit version too.

    the update on that page says there now is 64 bit also.

    also, even though its apparently moot now, 32 bit software can be installed in 64 bit environments. In ubuntu, using apt-get or dpkg you can use -force-architecture to accomplish this.
