NIkto Webserver and CGI scanner
Nikto Homepage: http://www.cirt.net/code/nikto.shtml
Description: Nikto is an Open Source (GPL) web server scanner which performs comprehensive tests against web servers for multiple items, including over 3300 potentially dangerous files/CGIs, versions on over 625 servers, and version specific problems on over 230 servers. Scan items and plugins are frequently updated and can be automatically updated (if desired).
Nikto is not designed as an overly stealthy tool. It will test a web server in the shortest timespan possible, and it’s fairly obvious in log files. However, there is support for LibWhisker’s anti-IDS methods in case you want to give it a try (or test your IDS system).
Under Ubuntu First I will download and install it from the repositories:

You has quite a long list of options. I will be exhausting to list and describe all those option. However you could list all the option and more just by typing man nikto under ubuntu linux (ah the beauty of help file ;))
Finally you can crank it up with the bare bone options by typing nikto -verbose -google.com
I hope guys at google won’t mind too much about it :) If you do just lemme know I will take it down.
Here is a list of option with Nikto to play with:

IDS Evasion Techniques:
1 Random URI encoding (non-UTF8)
2 Directory self-reference (/./)
3 Premature URL ending
4 Prepend long random string
5 Fake parameter
6 TAB as request spacer
7 Random case sensitivity
8 Use Windows directory separator (\)
9 Session splicing
Mutation Techniques:
1 Test all files with all root directories
2 Guess for password file names
3 Enumerate user names via Apache (/~user type requests)
4 Enumerate user names via cgiwrap (/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/~user type requests)
Thats all!
