The Day Google Stopped Working

This just happened I was trying to go to my google homepage, and it gave me this error:

(Before you ask me why the hell was I using IE7; I was testing my site’s compatibility with all browser after each site-wide changes. And yes I DO use windows sometimes.)

untitled

I am not sure why that happened. I checked in two other boxes with same result, but I had screenshot for only this one. This lasted for about 30 seconds (I kept refreshing my browsers).

Here is a philosophical question, How would you feel if google stopped working for you?

Do tell me…

DIGG!!

Wow, I’ve never seen that before. That’s wild. Hmm… If Google went down, I would feel scared, ashamed, bored, embarrassed, upset, impatient, and betrayed. But then I’d realize what is probably happening — SkyNet is taking over.

I doubt it was Google going down.
The error page mentions Squid; Squid is a caching web proxy. Were you at work? Does your company’s IT dept have a (sekrit?) transparent Squid proxy to cache (easily spy on?) the pages its employees visit?
