Matrix Simulation in Console: CMatrix

CMatrix simulates the display from “The Matrix” and is based on the screensaver from the movie’s website. It works with terminal settings up to 132×300 and can scroll lines all at the same rate or asynchronously and at a user-defined speed.

    small world, I just started a new thread about linux easter eggs at the maysville-linux-users-group.org web site and used xmatrix (part of xscreensaver) as my first example (it displays the nmap scene from Matrix Reloaded). Try it (or see article there in forums):
    xmatrix -small -crack
