I you have been reading my blog long enough, you probably know by now that I have a thing for anything console-based. It’s not to say that I don’t like GUI frontends, even if it makes my life easier; but for some reason the geek inside me like tinkering with programs in console (everything except vi, I don’t think text editors needs to be so unnecessary complicated).

Calcurse is a calendar and todo list for the console which allows you to keep track of your appointments and everyday tasks. CalCurse has a nice textmode interface with configurable color schemes, configurable layout and Vi-like keybindings.
