Install Lnav in CentOS 7
To install Lnav in CentOS 7, we execute the following command for the installation of these repositories first:
yum install epel-release
Then we install Lnav executing the following command:
yum install lnav
How To Run Lnav on CentOS 7
Just execute the command lnav directly from the terminal, and automatically we will see the events hosted in the path var/log/messages:
With this command, a filter has been applied to visualize the logs of the path/var/log. We can indicate a specific directory, for example:
lnav /var/log/cups
If it is necessary to search for old files since only the most recent ones will be displayed, we can add the -r parameter to deploy the old files:
lnav -r
With this simple command, we can manage the CentOS 7 logs in a much more complete way.
